Oct 19, '06- Last night, I watched Coke's game with Reish in AC. Okay na sana ung game kc nanalo ung team and the other players played very well. Pero hindi pa rin ok for me coz something bad happened to John and Kalani. John had crumps during the third quarter..kitang-kita ko while he's down on the floor. OMG! I don't want to see him in pain. That's the least thing that I don't want to happen to him. I know how he works very hard for his team kaya naman when I saw him down, hindi na ko mapakali. Pero at least Im still happy that it was only a crumps..Although, Im still worried coz someone told me na idinadaing (what a term!) nya yung knee and ankle nya since Red Bull game. One thing that bothers me is their next game against TNT. TNT lost to Air21 kaya babawi ang mga yun. So, tlagang kelangan nyang maglaro to win and improve their standings before facing Gins in Cabagan, Isabela. If they lost that game, ok lang kc d cla gaanong malalog behind sa standings. Oh...I hope he's okay kasi his team really needs him especially now. The rookies and new recruits are playing very well as well as Ali pero they need John there..They need his leadership and his courage to take clutch baskets. I just hope and pray that he is okay. Please naman!

After that incident, pinakamagandang ngyari na lang ay nakapagpicture ako with my new crush, hahaha. He looks really handsome last night. Ganda ng game nya. Great job JM!

The PBA has just open last oct 1 but I opted not to watch it live coz Coke would not play. I just watch the opening on TV to see John and the rest of the Tigers.Well, that's loyalty for you. When the Tigers came out, I saw John..(my heart beat faster..lol) still very handsome and ewan ko ba..it''s unwxplainable. It's still a mystery for me why I'm always starstrucked everytime I see him on TV or in person. Medyo mahaba na hair nya..I wonder kung my choice lang sya..tyak he's going to wear a cap...a NIKE cap, ryt Mr. Nike?
I was ryt! haha..When I watched their first game live..nagpagupit na ulit sya. I guess he's more comfortable playing with that hairstyle..About his performance, nothing has changed. He is still the John Arigo that I know, the explosive and ever reliable "ARSENAL." Unfortunately, they lost the game.But it's okay..ganun talaga. The team is on a rebuilding process. What's important is that they're trying their best to speed up the process. It was really a great game for John..He scored 26 big points..MVP material tlaga.
On the other hand, Seph's first game was not impressive at all. He only scored 4 points..rookie jitters..imagine playing against willie miller, cortez, and cariaso..hopefuly next tym ok na. After the game, I went to SG. I saw Jayson there..Denoc was the first one to leave. I wasn't able to see the other players. Here comes JOHN! Super smyl kaagad sya..Buti na lang I was able to speak to him..I told him that I bought his jersey and i would have it signed next game. He was actually asking where is it so that he can sign it already but I told him I forgot to buy a pentel pen..haha. (actually, sinadya ko so that I have a reason to watch their next game!) D pa rin sya nagbago..he's still ... grabeh starstruck na naman ako. Pero at least I spoke to him fluently.Before I went home, I asked him their next game and of course I told him that he played very well tonight. Then, he extended his left hand..and who am I to reject it.lol..
There you have it..another memorable encounter with the man we call "the ARSENAL

Finally, there are players who can provide support to JA and Ali. I don't wanna see JA frustrated after the game. you know After giving all his best, his team would still lose coz he did not get the support from his teammates.With the acquisition of Yeo and Rizada and Enrile, Coke is assured of at least 15-30 points a game from these players. If that happens, the other team would no longer focus on John. Yeo is the type of player who attacks inside the paint regardless of who's inside..(that's what I like him!wlang cnasanto..come on enrico!lol) but he has to keep cool especially when he's playing Red Bull. Rizada is much of a threat outside..
Some people say that with the entry of these guys, John could be affected coz of their positions. But JA is a shooting forward naman. Hopefully, there will be no problem about their minutes. Rizada and Yeo are off-guards so I don't see any problem at all. And besides, JA has played with Yeo already in the Jones Cup..So at least my chemistry na ng konte. He has played with Ali and Denok, too. Rizada is Denok's former teammate in FEU. About Yeo's attitude, well I think he's matured enough to know that it's not UAAP anymore! Playing here is not about your school pride..it's about your team's ultimate goal and proving yourself that you deserve to be drafted in the PBA.
Im hoping that most of these players would be signed by Coke. they have so much talent that can help the team. Yun nga lang, I don't expect them to be so good..they will still adjust to the team and to the league. PBA is not college basketball..it's tougher!Even if they are college stand-outs, still Ali and John would have to carry a big load in the team. They're the veterans of the team and they have to involve the new players.
The sun is starting to shine back to the Coke team...

2006 PBA draft..

Grabeh!I watched the PBA Drafting together with my bestfriend Tere, last Sunday in Market! Market! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to talk to JA coz there are a lot of people.ang sikip! Well, I expected it coz it's draft day and they're doing it in the mall so what can I expect. But it's ok na rin, I saw John wearing a white Nike polo shirt and a Nike cap!Siyempre authentic Nike products coz he's one of the endorsers here. Kumbaga, Im used to seeing him wearing Nike products.lol
Before that, we saw Josep Yeo with his not so colorful hair..duh!well he's not that tall, I thinkhe's only 5'8"..cute.and in fairness he has many fans. The team that would draft him would have more fans surely..lol.(cno kaya?) We also saw other players from other teams. My bestfriend was so happy when she saw Alvin Patrimonio..puti raw and flawless khit medyo me edad na. I also saw Johnny but I'm not the type of person who would approach a player unless he's..(ang taray!) But he's really friendly and accommodating to his fans.Im happy he's still with Coke despite news that his former team wants him back!Great!(Try harder Cone!lol
When drafting started, im so excited to know who'll be Coke's first pick. Kelly williams went to SLR, then Arwing Santos to Air21..and OMG! it's Joseph yeo to Coke!and guess what it's John who gave him the COKE jacket!(welcome man!lol) syempre with coach Binky and other Coke officials.I also saw the new assistant coaches of the team, Boybits Victoria and Ritchie Ticson..and team manager Hector Calma.Ali Peek, Gerard Francisco, Neil Raneses were also there. Too bad Denok was not there bcoz he's in Brunei playing for the national team. Sayang, he should have there to welcome Coke's 2nd pick, RJ Rizada. Grabeh!I really jumped when Commish named him coz I know he's a good player. He's a good 3-pt shooter back in his college days. Im not from FEU but I know the guy can play basketball.
Other players who were drafted by the team were Caceres (not familiar with him..) so with Chris Pacana..although there are news that they really did well during the rookie camp.They got Gavino, a former Maroon..although dun lang sya nagMasteral..hehe. And of course Ronjay Enrile of Letran. Pretty good players although Coke will still lack big men. They let go of the opportunity to draft Mark Isip by acquiring Yeo. But as what Coach Binky said, they would like to run that's why they got many guards and shooters. Still, Coke line-up is not yet complete. There are still trades to happen..that's for sure!
To all rookies of COke..congratulations and welcome to the team (that is if the team signs you..lol

one-day break!

It was really great that we had a one-day break yesterday. I was able to do a lot of things and it was really great to accomplish many things in a day..something that I could not do before. Also, I had a nice time sleeping..oh, my favorite hobby..lol.I miss my bed right now..I miss sleeping while listening to my favorite songs. Speaking of John, I've got good news for myself..haha.I will be watching the drafting on the 20th of this month together with my bestfriend Tere..Finally, I will be able to see John and the rest of the Coke team. Syempre that includes Crushy!haha.

new Monday

This is a new Monday for me! I don't have to go to my fulltime job everyday coz my manager has approved my request to work as a partimer offsite. Hay! at least I'll be able to find more time for myself. Of course, my health is still my priority. Even if I would miss my officemates there, I don't have any choice but to make that very important decision.Change topic: This is a little bit late but it doesn't matter at all..JA has posted already in Arriba after several months. His message is too long but worthy of ten or more readings. Haha! That's how I miss JA so much!Very thankful that he's back already coz he's there's a lot of things going on his team right now. Personally, I'm afraid of what might happen to his team because I know he'll be affected. If the team disbands and he will be transferred to another team, he will have to adjust again to a new team and new system. Oh..I don't want to see him frustrated again. I don't want him to be part of a team that wouldn't maximize his talents. I'll be a hypocrite if I say I want him to play for his former team. I don't know but I haven't fully recovered from that trade. Even if Jolas is still there, I can't cheer for them anymore. But I'll be forever thankful to them coz through that team, I met JA!I hope everything would be settled before the opening of the season coz I don't want the team to suffer. I don't want to see JA so frustrated after the game. As much as possible I want another championship for him. And to those who continue to criticize him, I have an advice for you guys! talk and know him first before making any conclusion.

i miss the old aces!

Im so damn busy with my work.Everyday, I write blogs for other people and yet I cannot update my own..That's shit! Oh! I miss PBA a lot..It's been a while since I watched it. I miss the Aces team already... I mean the OLD team. The team with JA, Don Allado, Ali Peek, Rob Duat, Mike Cortez and Brandon Cablay. I miss the team that who won a championship despite being young and inexperienced. I miss the young team who proved that winning a championship is not all about experience..and that it is also based on hunger and determination. How I wish I can see them playing together again..even for a single game.Kudos to the OLD Aces team! I miss you guys!

APRIL 22, 2006...

This blog has been publish in my other blog. I include it hear coz I consider this as an important day in my boring life!
APRIL 21,2006.....I was very thankful because I checked my email that night. I saw sis Charina's message. She said she plans to Moro Gym to visit Coke practice. I immediately got her number and texted her. She replied and we set everything. I really can't sleep that night. This was the first time that I would be able to see JA since 2003. That was back in college when I went to KFC Katipunan with my friend Agnes. Imagine, that was three three years in the making..I always watch his games naman but mainly on TV. Also I was very excited coz I would be able to meet somemembers of Arriba. Honestly, I didn't know what time I was able to sleep that night. I woke up around 8am the following day. I immediately fixed myself and my things. Around 9am,Chaina and I met at LRT2 Pureza station. She was with Rubz, Rich's number 1 supporter..(GO sis!). I would never forget when she said "PUP school ko pero puso ko nasa Ateneo." When we arrived at Moro, it was around 10:30 in the morning. I asked one of the staff there is the team was stillpracticing. He said yes and he even accompanied us inside. "Ang bait ni manong!" He even offerred us to sit on the othe side of the court near that big electric fan..haha. Upon our entry, I begun looking for the players and the first one that I saw was Ali Peek. Well,he's so big kc. And then there he goes...I saw him. He even looked at us and smiled. After a few minutes, Jason and Alen joined us. Alen is also a member and I am one of those who always view her friendster coz she always has new pics of JA. Later, each player practiced in different rings. Denoc Miranda, Coke's rookie practiced at the right ring near us. Then JA and Will Antonio occupied the left. John asked us whether we're from Arriba and we said YES! Then, he smiled and continued his practice. While practicing, I could notice how happy JA with his new team. While practicing kc, JA also joked around with Will. They were laughing, and playing like kids which is really funny. There was one moment wherein I smiled coz Will accidentally hit John's face and then suddenly they laughed. Around 11:30, the team went at the center of the teamand had a meeting. After that, JA practiced some treys..I guess during that time, he was practicing for the All-Stars.
Later around 1, he sat at the other side and we approached him. Ofcourse again we're shy! That's given come on! We asked him to pose for some pics. I was stunned when Alen courageously asked him to hug us...Actually, it was just a joke while we're waiting.I didn'tknow she would stilldo it.haha.. Iba ka Alen! JA said "no problem." One by one, he hugged us. First was Alen, then Rubz, then Charina and OMG! It's my turn! After that, we had a group pic. Alen had to go home coz her parents werewaiting already. We also went outside na but you know what? We'rewith JA. It's hard kc to go out of Ateneo if you don't have a car, you either walk..or wait for a taxi.I think there were also tricycles. In short, makikisuno po kami sa car nya hanggang Cubao..lol.
The three of us, Charina, me and Rubz sat at th eback while Jason was at the front. Before leaving, JA said goodbye to Rafi and Coach Binky at the parking lot. While inside the car, we mentioned to JA about his Homeboy guesting. He even said he did some silly things there like singing "Magtanim ay di Biro." But we told him, it's cute. I can't remember what other things we talked about. I have poor memory actually..hehe. At Cubao, we said goodbye and we thanked him of course. The following day, Arriba was flooded with messages about that visit.
Again, thanks to JA! thanks for the hug! and to Charina, Alen, Jayson and Rubz..I am so greatful to that I was able to meet you on that very special day! I hope there would be a repeat of that hug..lol, I mean the visit.

time really flies!

Time really flies.It's the last week of July already and after this, it will be August followed by the "ber" months. I just finished reading Dan Brown's Angels and Demons this weekend. I can't imagine, I was able to finish the novel in barely three days. My officemate lend me her copy..thanks Khristine.The novel is great, it's full of thrill and excitement just like Da Vinci Code.Of course, there are a lot of symbols again, as usual Robert Langdon is a symbologist..lol.This time, he's after the antimatter that can destroy the Vatican City...(scary!)

Compared to the Da Vinci Code, this novel is more scientifically advanced since it tackles the never-ending "war" between religion and Science. However, you can easily say that it's fictional...again fictional. Also, I had time watching the UAAP game last Sunday..UP vs. Adamson. Unfortunately, UP lost, too bad. They we're leading at the first half but ADU was able to bounce back. But it's okay the team put up a good fight naman. Od course, Marvin Cruz was there..cute tlaga. He really looks like that Korean actor in My 19-year old sister-in-law.I think he's Kim Jae Won..la lang, he's so neat kc and I like his intensity in the hard court. I'm so proud of him because after three games, he's leading in UAAP scoring and steals. Go MArvelous Marvin!
