CUTIE........

This morning, medyo nagulo ang buhay namin sa VOIM.lol. And I'm guilty of it! I watched this video of my student named younee and I also asked my co-teachers to watch it. There were all amazed with his voice. ASTIG! Mala-Brian McKnight bah? Well, there was one part kc of the video where he sang "One Last Cry" kc favorite nya to. That video was taken during his first day in the class. Usually, during first day, we interview our students to know them better. Infairness, wafu ung student kong yun. Kaya naman, I'm always inspired to teach him.lol. It's my first time to have a "wafu" student kc. Sabi ko nga.."finally"...after a year in the company, nagkaroon din ako ng cute na student. wahhhhhhhhhh...and bait talaga ni GOD!

"My shattered dreams and broken heart
Are mending on the shelf
I saw you holding hands, standing close to someone else
Now I sit all alone wishing all my feeling was gone
I gave my best to you, nothing for me to do
But have one last cry"

Funny! but that song touched me. Hay...I'll just keep it to myself.

How to improve your esteem and confidence...

Face your fears - they aren't as bad as you think they are. Facing your fears increases your confidence.
Forget your failures - learn from them. Avoid making the same mistakes again but don't limit yourself by assuming you failed before so you can't succeed this time. Try again, you're wiser and stronger. Don't be trapped in the past!
Know what you want and ask for it. You deserve your dreams to come true.
Reward yourself when you succeed. No-one else will! Isn't everything easier when you take time to help yourself?
Talk - We often make assumptions about a situation or person which are not true. Your attitude and behaviour can be negatively affected so if you have any doubt or question ask and don't assume you know why or how. There is much more about this point and about many of the others in a wonderful book I have read recently.
Don't be defeated! Try something else. You are not going to be defeated by one failed attempt are you? Doesn't everyone fail before they succeed? All you need is a different approach.

JOHN MADE IT! yahoooooo...........

MOOD: unexplainable :-)

Sometimes, I can't understand myself. I can be very timid in a minute but I can do crazy things in a second. Scary ryt? lol..Although, I admit, Im a shy-type of person, there are times that I couldn't control myself to do ridiculous things especially when it concerns Mr. ****. Only him can make that effect on me. Well, I've discovered that many years ago and it's not really a big deal for me. As long as it makes me extra happy, I don't give a damn.

By the way, check this out...haha..It's confirmed! JA made it to the AllStars line up!Waaaaaaaaaah..I don't know how to express my happiness. Will I shout? Will I scream?lol. All of these are just understatements of what the Arriba members and me are feeling right now. I just love it! Immediately, I texted the members that I know to inform them of this great news. Oh, I really love it! Even if I can't see it live, it's okay with me. knowing him to be part of that elite group of players is enough already. If I have known it yesterday, then I would have greeted him personally over the phone. I called Esel kc yesterday while she's in Moro and I had a precious chance to talk to John! I just said "hi" and asked how's their practice. Homestly, I just want to hear his voice. lol. I can't wait to see him on Friday and congratulate him personally. Gosh! it's his 4th or fifth times na to be selected on the line-up..This calls for a celebration!lol. Magpapainom nito si Alen!lol

Congratulations John!

si JA, si Marvs at si Manny! :-)

It's great to know that the Coca Cola Tigers were not hit by the Friday 13th scare..lol. They won against the Air21 and JA played very well. He won the BEST PLAYER of the game award, an award which missed him a lot. lol. What can I say, he's really the barometer of the game for Tigers. If he playes well, Tigers win. If he's down, Tigers are down, too. John started shooting great in the first quarter. I heard from my Arriba pals that the commentators were saying "UMAARIGO" c JA early on the first half. Sounds really flattering for us. I guess, he needs to be more agressive. During the past game that Tigers lost, normally, he didn't start well. That's why he didn't get the confidence he needs. During that game, he was very assertive and confident. Maybe that message from Jason helped..lol. Well, John, you are still the leader of the team. No matter what happens, whoever players come and be traded to Coke, you will still be the team captain..so PROVE yourself. CHALLENGE yourself more. You are doing well as a player and as a team captain and we, your fans and friends are very proud of you. Keep it up!

While the watching the game, I was alarmed because my sis texted me and she told that she saw me on tv. OMG!According to her, me, Rhea and Jason were seen twice, the first one was not clear but on the second, it was clear already. OMG! my tito is watching! haha. She said that I was talkign to Rhea and it took few seconds before the camera shifted to another direction. What a Friday!I wonder how I look like on the screen..lol. Am I still cute?waaaaaaaaaaa...

In SG, John told me not to be sad about the armband coz according to him, "I have many of them" and that I can have more. Ang bait! He even asked me if I'll watch their next game on Friday. I said "yes" and I even told him to beat Ginebra!peace.

Congratulations to Harbour Center for winning the SEABA tournament. You made us proud! To Marvs, what a great job! It's your first international competition and yet you proved how experienced you are. Congratulations for making it to the mythical team and for winning the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. yahooooo! I wonder was his coach and the rest of the UPMBT coaching staff are thinking right now. You just don't know what you're missing. Well, if Marvs gets drafted and played for Coke next season, I would really appreciate your decision but for now, eat your hearts out!lol.

Also, congratulations to our PAMBANSANG KAMAO, who gets tougher and tougher every match. As a Filipino, I'm very proud of you. How I wish that you will no longer run as congressman..coz POLITICS will just DESTROY you. Congrats, Manny "PACMAN" Pacquiao.

Nice one Marvs!

Harbour Centre-RP rips Petronas-Malaysia
By Nelson Beltran
The Philippine Star 04/12/2007

JAKARTA – Harbour Centre-Philippines, banking on big starts on both halves, walloped Petronas-Malaysia, 87-72, at the start of the 2007 SEABA Champions Cup at the Britama Arena here Tuesday night.

Starters Vidal Massiah, Julius Nwosu, Marvin Cruz and Jason Castro dished out solid performances, carrying much of the fight for the team with their reserves playing tentatively coming off the bench.

Massiah, bringing out the stuff he failed to show with San Miguel Beer in the PBA, came through with 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting in just 27 minutes of action.

Nwosu dominated the paint for 16 rebounds, 11 points and five blocks while Cruz and Castro manned the backcourt efficiently, combining for 23 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and four steals.

The Nationals started the game with a 24-5 run, led by as many as 22 at 60-38 and 65-43 but couldn’t sustain a steady pace on the erratic showing of their second group.

Injuries to Massiah and Chico Lanete also slowed down the team facing a fierce-fighting Malaysian side which is in the final phase of its buildup for the SEABA championship in Thailand next month.

Massiah and Lanete both suffered ankle sprain. Lanete’s, however, looked severe that he may miss their game against host SM Britama-Indonesia Wednesday.

"Our bench was tentative, but I can’t blame them. Most of them are in their first international stint," said coach Junel Baculi. "But somehow it could work to our advantage. My idea really was to keep some of my players so as not to expose them to the scouts of the other teams."

Baculi made special mention of Jonathan Fernandez who played for only six minutes but responded with two triples.

JC Intal was notably tentative, attempting just once in 16 minutes of action. He later apologized to the coaching staff and promised to do better in the next game.

"Yung attitude ng ibang players natin typical na aasa na lang kapag may imports. They tend to forget that they’re also good players," said assistant coach Louie Alas.

But not Cruz, who was remarkable in his first international game, bucking dirty tactics of his Malaysian counterparts as he churned out 15 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals.

The former UP Maroon kept his poise and composure though hit a number of times by Malaysia’s rugged defenders.
***GO MARVS!

my 710MWF class drawing....

my bday..

Yesterday, I celebrated my birthday and I have to say..it's a mixed emotion. Mixed emotion, in the sense that my parents are in the province and I didn't celebrate that special day with me. They texted and greeted me but it's still different if your're with your family during your birthday.tssk..tssk..well, that's life..you cannot have the best of both worlds. On the other hand, I'm happy coz me and my "dear" officemates na sobrang lalakas ng loob went to Moro and watched Coke practice. Yeh! you read it right! we saw the team practicing. It's all because of Jona, Nelly, and Pherl.haha. Because of their GUTS, we we're able to sit down in the gym and watch the team practiced. Kung ako lang kc e okay na sa kin na maghintay sa labas but they really insisted to go inside. Thanks a lot gurls! You really made my day! You are right! That is my day and I had to take advantage of it, di ba Pherl?

(I guess that was my price for the day. Asar na asar kc ako dun sa isa kong student. He's really giving me headache. If he wants to stick to his so-called "BOOK" then so be it! Bahala xa. I was just thinking of giving him more materials so that he can learn more, but if he's not appreciating it, FINE with me. I have other students who are very appreciative and who are more willing to learn.)

Hay..ang haba ng flashback! well, time to cheer up coz we're at the practice. There, we saw the new players of Coke (Ken, Alex, and Ricky and ofcourse JA and company. If there's one thing that made me sad during that time was the fact that Denoc was not there. Yeah, he was traded to SLR...sad, but life has to go on! Goodluck na lang to him. There, we also saw Mr. Danny Espiritu, Ken's manager..and JA's manager, too. Yeap, last night ko lang nalaman from Jason that he is JA's new manager. Maybe that's the reason why he's always talking to JA during games. We also saw Hec2or who offerred us something..ayoki ng magcoment. Basta, if its true, thank you na lang to JY. After the practice, we saw JA sat on the bench but we did not approach him coz he's still busy. Nga pala, throughout our stay there, I was texting with Yhan, Alen, and Esel.

I asked my officemates to just wait outside coz it was hot inside. Outside, picture taking muna, d ba Nelly? Kahit anong background, mapa puno, kotse..okay lang!wahahaaa...ang tagal kc ni JA. So after 40 years, JA came out and I approached him pero he already saw me and he was wearing that nice smile for all of us. He said hello to me and I introduced him to my friends. "These are my friends, Pherl, Nelly, and Jownah."wahahaa.. Then, kwentuhan na. Well, I tolf him that it was my birthday today and of course, he greeted me. haha..malamang! Then, we talked about the trade and he said that he's happy with the trade, although he's a little sad to loose Denoc. He mentioned also that we should give Alex the benefit of the doubt. He's doing well naman daw. Well, good for him! Ano pa nga bang pinag-usapan namin.hehe..nakalimutan ko na. Ah, he said that they have a game on Wednesday and that Jason's sis will be joining us. Hay..baka makita na naman ako nito sa TV..joke! I forgot to tell him that Alen will also be watching..Sayang! He also said that they'll be having a lunch to welcome the new players on the team. Saya naman! I even told him that I'm making a new website for him and I'll be giving her a questionaire for his profile.

Time really flies so fast. We have to say bye2 to him now coz we have to go back to work and ofcourse, he has to go to Libis. So, "see you later" na lang.wahaha..

Before leaving Moro, umiral na naman ang pagiging camera-addict namin. In short, picturan ulit.lol. Nadaanan tuloy kami ni JA dun na parang mga bata. Basta, ang kulit..wahahaha...and then he stopped and asked where we're heading to. I said we're going to Katipunan..and then he offerred us to take us there. Ang bait talaga!Xempre, while inside the car, picturan galore ulit. I also sent my regards to JA's Princess Kara. Hay, kelan ko kaya ulit xa mamimeet? The car stopped in front of KFC..and then, it's time to say bye2 ulit to JA. We had lunch at KFC, which was the venue of JA's fans day in 2003. What a coincidence!

Wow! what can I say? My birthday is nothing but GREAT! Thanks to my friends, JOWNAH, PHERL, & NELLY for tolerating my obsession whatever..haha..and to JA for making it super special. Thanks JA! I really appreciate your kindness and your open-mindedness. Go Tigers!

"It's always great seeing you"

MOOD: Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I think I'll better wake up now and write another entry.

Last Thursday, I went to Moro with Nelly to meet Alen and ofcourse talk to our fav, Mr. Nike. All along, me and alen were texting coz we're not sure if they would have a practice there. So, Alen went there first with her friend, Mona. We arrived there around 12 only to find out that he is leaving already. Alen said that he had to attend a gathering for their team manager. Ofcourse, it made me sad coz I really took a time to be able to go there. How sad!
However, everything went great when he said that he would just park his car on the other side. Gosh! super bait talaga. There on the side of the statue of a man in Moro, we talked..me, Alen, Nelly, Mona, and Mr. Nike. We've talked about a lot thigns already. Like for instance, their game against RedBull. He said that it would be in Ynarez but soon I found out that it would be iN AC. Hay..sometimes, I want to be her secretary so that he will be able to have the right schedule. lol."I'm very sure that the game is in Ynarez."lol.. We also talked about their import. He said that they have a great import..the only problem is that he always gets hurt during games. Man, he needs to be tougher! Go AJ!
Since, we have the opportunity. I can't help myself from telling him that personally, I am very happy that Coke is not part of SMC anymore. And he said that the team is also happy that they are fine now, and that the management is very supportive of them. Like for instance, last Tuesday, the team went to Baguio for a Coke event. I think they met some of the members of the management. This is ofcourse a good sign since the management support is a very important factor in a team's success. How I wish, the management will come up with a TV commercial with all the Coke players on it. Isn't it exciting? Paging Coke management!
During our conversation, di namin maiwasan ni Alen na sabihin kay JA na bagay sa kanya ung shoulder supporter nya. hehe. Sorry JA but you really look good with that. Nagjoke pa nga xa na dapat pala may injury xa kc bagay sa kanya un. Si JA talaga..Since we're talking here of support, kinumusta ko naman ang kanyang stockings na red. haha. Sabi nya, it's pahiyang daw! but it looks like his pahiyang are not lucky charm anymore, d kc nananalo ung team e..so he said na wala munang pahiyang on their next game. Dami pa naming napag-usapan nung araw na yun but I forgot some of them already. Hay..pag si JA talga ang kausap ko, daming kong nakakalimutan..lol. Before we went home, I asked JA to sign an autograph for me..and this is what he wrote.

Thanks JA! You're really the best..Thanks for giving us time. Indeed, let me give you back the message that you gave me.."It's always great seeing you."
