An entry about Inspiring Generation

While waiting for my student, I'm keeping myself awake by listening to J2M's Good Day to Die and Rhosy's Way. Both songs are part of the OST of Kim Hyun Joong's latest drama, Inspiring Generation (also called Age of Feeling). This drama is very unpredictable since the beginning. Based on what I've read, this drama was offerred to Kwon Sang Woo and Lee Jun Ki, but ended up with KHJ. The title was confusing at first because there were a number of titles given before the show started. The story was unpredictable, too. But I enjoyed it very much. This is my first time to watch such drama of this kind. I don't usually watch period drama because I think it's boring and it doesn't suit my taste. Well, that's me. Mianhe.

As a whole, I really love this drama. It would be included in my top 5 dramas of all time. Haha, well it's KHJ's what do you expect. Let me enumerate 5 things I love about this drama. Of course, there are many reasons to love it since it's KHJ's but let me choose only five since I'm busy these days.

Young Actors
Young actors who played the young Shin Jung Tae, Gaya, and Ok Ryeon were amazing. They were superb! Especially the young actor who played SJT. I hope he'll have more interesting and successful projects in the future. I couldn't imagine any other actor playing KHJ's younger version of Shin Jung Tae. Kwak Dong-yeon is spot-on! Props also to the two young actresses especially the girl who played Ok Ryeon. I really find her cute.

The adjussis
Oh my God! First time watching a drama with too many adjussis. LOL. Can I just say that Poong Cha is the best?!! Oh, that brotherly love they have for Jung Tae. He and Bong Shik are great! I would love them to come back and fight with the more matured and much stronger Jung Tae. Of course Poong Cha can't, but Bong Shik can, right? The Dobi Gang rules! Another ahjussi I liked was Shinichi. His last scene with Gaya was emotionally-draining. I cried together with Gaya!

The setting/action scenes
I've already stated that I'm not fond of period dramas but for KHJ, I watched this series. I find it more interesting than any other dramas actually. It was interesting to find out how people lived during that time, to find out how they struggle to survive in a period like that. Although it was violent and there were too much blood and violence involved, I really enjoyed it. I love watching war movies so this is nothing new to me.

MO IL HWA (Song Jae Rim)
I'm torn. I'm dunno if I'm going to put it on number one or two. So, it's a tie? LOL I really love Leader Mo's character. I find him really mysterious and cool. I couldn't imagine another actor playing this character. Damn! His bromance with SJT in the series is the best part of this series for me. They can eliminate the girls around JT and stick to MIH. I'm hoping that these two are friends in real life. Please. Please. Please. I'm hoping that the next time I watch a Song Jae Rim-drama, I hope it's his own drama. I've seen him first in Flower Boy Ramyun, then I watched him in Nail Shop Paris. And then I also got to see some of his scenes in Moon Embracing the Sun and Two Weeks. I believe he's ready now to take the lead. I'm sorry but I prefer him over Kim Jae Wook, so I was really celebrating when MIH's character was brought back in IG. With the success of IG, I hope he's Hallyu popularity will increase. I really hope so. Leader Mo, I love you! (Mianhe Shin Jung Tae.) Haha.

Shin Jung Tae (Kim Hyun Joong)
I am thankful that this drama project was offerred to him, and he accepted it. It was thorny! There were many issues since it's KHJ's project. Haha. As a fan, I expected that. It's not new! But I'm glad that he got to do this type of drama, very different from the usual drama he's done. I believe that this drama will make him more popular to the guys now. This is good to balance his fans. His acting has really improved and he's able to do action stunts. As a fan, it's my dream to see him doing these action scenes. Next time, please do more challenging roles like being someone with special needs or a disabled person. Why not? I'm sure he'll give his best. Thank you, Inspiring Generation for making critics realize that HJ can act.

I will be watching Inspiring Generation episodes again from the beginning till end in the coming days. Surely, I will miss all the characters especially my OTP, Mo Il Hwa and Shin Jung Tae. LOL.

To all the casts and staff of this show, to all KHJ's supporters, and everyone who love this drama, thank you and congratulations to all of us! Till next drama! KHJ Fighting!

:)

After months of hiatus, I'm back!
It's 1:40am here and I couldn't sleep, so I'm updating this site. What do I miss? I think it's better to say, who I miss the most? There's only one person I miss so much. I tried my best to forget that person but I simply couldn't. :'(.
These days, I keep telling myself that I miss my 5am habit. I miss greeting that person good morning. It's the best part of my day. Every morning, I looked forward to greeting that person. It made my day honestly. I hate weekends because it means I won't be able to talk to that person.
I hope to do that again. I really want to. #wish
